Backup of iPhone taking too long?

I actually figured out a way this morning to skip the backup of your iPhone!

I was trying to update some apps on the phone, but one in particular (Aurora Feint) needed to be downloaded via my Mac since it was over 10 MB.

Anyway, downloaded it, and plugged in my iPhone…. and syncing took FOREVER. And I had to get to work! Most of the “sync” time is spent backing up the phone, which means backing up your contacts, settings, and apps to your computer. The apps are what take the longest to back up since they are so big, and since my contact list hasn’t really changed much since my last backup, I decided to just try to skip it!
